The Fairy Ring Online Store Launches!

Shane & I decided to finally create the online store called The Fairy Ring!
The vibe is rather woodsy, nature, fairy-core. We’re starting out with high quality stickers able to be put on vehicles and not just water bottles and computer cases. In time I hope to make jewelry (mostly necklaces and bracelets). My daughter is a pro at bracelet making so those may end up on there before my jewelry.
Here’s a sneak peak of some of the stickers:

Shane’s 50th Birthday – becoming the wizard of the woods!

A few days before….
Our old 4-Runner decided to die a nasty, loud death. We think it may have been the muffler or catalytic converter being clogged and the pressure backed up into the engine and blew something out. It no longer starts and when he tried, it was an awful screech. This vehicle isn’t worth the amount it would take to fix (especially since I totalled it a few years back). He went looking for cheaper vehicles online when he came across his dream vehicle. It was out of his price range, but after talking to his credit union, he knew what he could offer them, and they accepted just a few days before his 50th birthday this month!!
It’s a 1976 VW Transporter! The paint job is going to be covered by a vehicle wrap (not keeping the marijuana leaf and joint haha). He works at a sign & graphics shop so they are designing something cool for him to cover all that airbrush!
Here is The Beast!

The day of…Level 50 unlocked: Wizard status achieved.
Earlier in the day, Shane and I went to lunch at Filberts in Aurora for some wonderful vittles!
We had rain all day then it broke and stayed dry while we had the fire down in our picnic area! Shane stayed down there until the fire burned down, well after dark. I came back up to make dinner for mom, Ember and I. Such a perfect day for a December birthday!

Shane and I like to do lots of woods walks and take pictures of mushrooms of all kinds!

Ember and I went for a walk to see if there was any damage to our picnic area down by the creek. Fortunately it was spared but sure a lot of water down there! I let her use my camera to take some pictures for her photography class. Some were a little blurry, but I picked the best ones:

Winter Solstice Magic – Decks & Reading

I have a vast collection of Oracle & Tarot decks! I pick a few to work with each “season” and pair the Oracle with Tarot. Here are my Winter Solstice through the eve before Imbolc selections:

Winter Solstice Altar Cards
12/21/25

Winter Solstice Altar Cards:
Lord of Lore bestows the gift of renewal. When things look dead, you can bring new life out of the dark.
Contemplate – a time to look inwards and work through unfinished lessons, then feel lighter as the sun returns.
Winter – an ending, recharging, reflection. Identify the things that went well and what you want to do differently.
Winter – trust in the power of dreams and rest, embracing the unhurried rhythm that revitalizes your daily life.
Winter – the sacredness of pausing – it’s time to let what no longer serves you die away.
Winter – rejuvenation. It is time to observe your inner workings and to work with the great mysteries of life. Gather your energies to you.
Spirit of Yule – prepare for and call to you the return of light and joy. Focus on current blessings and make plans for the time ahead.
Spirit Guardian of Winter – retreat. Enter the silent, deep place within you. Watch your nocturnal dreams, look for messages from Spirit.

The Cards:
Unicorn – purity. No matter what happened in your life, step into your innate innocence.  You have a pure soul. Let go of the past and see the world with new eyes.
Sunlight – happiness, well-being, growth. Challenges will be overcome, bright visions will come to pass, and boons of all kinds are yours for the taking. Remember to be grateful.
Ten of Boons – a warm welcome, community, hospitality. Your tribe, your kin await your arrival. The greatest boon of all is like-minded fellows who stand by you in good times and bad.
Keeper of Challenges – shrewd, perceptive, commanding, stern. There may be a need for cool and detached strategizing in challenging times. Use your wits before you take action.

Over-all Summary:
So much to see here! The Winter Solstice encourages you to rest, revitalize, and to let go of what no longer serves. In making plans for the times ahead, you may need that cool, detached side of yourself to strategize out of a challenging moment. This is the perfect time to use your wits before taking action. As the day follows night, so to do dark times give way to the light. Let go of the past and see the world with fresh eyes. Focus on current blessings and you will find your tribe. They are just waiting for you to open those eyes and see them. Challenges will be overcome, and joy will return. Be grateful when it does!!
